TFE Run gait & swim stroke analysis

TFE Run Gait Analysis

For endurance athletes (triathletes and runners), a run-gait analysis is critical to ensure proper mechanics, improve efficiency, and prevent injury. The TFE Run Gait Analysis can help pinpoint weaknesses before they become problematic, and provides a detailed assesment emailed to client to ensure continued improvement. The Analysis includes the following:

  1. Video Analysis: Analyzing running gait can improve efficiency in every runner.
    The process includes video taping your stride, to help you understand your foot strike. After breaking down your gait, we can outline a series of drills to improve stride, increase cadence, and become a more efficient runner.
  2. Strength Exercises: Running is a repetitive movement. As such, runners tend to develop muscular imbalances, which can lead to inefficient running at best, and continual injuries at worst. Strong runners are fast runners. TFE will provide strength exercises specific to the client video analysis. helping to correct imbalance leading to stronger, healthier, more efficient running.
  3. Mechanics Drills: Good run mechanics are a must. Solid run technique is critical to improve efficiency, ensure fluid running, and prevent injury. Clients will receive specific run drills to hone skills needed specific to their weaknesses.
  4. Written Summary of Results and Recommendations: Within a few days of the analysis. athletes receive actionable recommendations via email to help implement changes necessary to improve their run. Video and pictures may also be included to help clients grasp critical concepts and visualize necessary changes.

Swim Stroke Analysis

Swimming is the most technical of all disciplines in Triathlon. Many triathletes are inefficient swimmers and struggle to see progress despite hours of practice. The TFE Swim Stroke Analysis helps to identify weakness in your swim technique, allowing us to pinpoint specific ways for you to reduce drag, improve body positioning, and increase power through your stroke. The Analysis includes:
  1. Underwater Video Analysis: Through video taping your performance both above and below the water, we can see how to best improve your stroke and kick. Specific coaching software helps us to accurately assess body geometry during swim movements helping to determine where to focus improvement efforts.
  2. Stroke and Kick Drills: Good stroke and kick mechanics are a must when it comes to efficient swimming. All drills are useful in implementing proper swimming motor skills, but we will teach you the drills most necessary to correct vour specific challenges.
  3. Dry Land Strength Exercises: Without stability and strength, swimmers lose significant power during the pull phase of the stroke. Dry land stability and strength exercises are essential to help build solid core, shoulder, and back muscles to critical to maintaining power during all phases of the swim stroke.
  4. Written Summary of Results and Recommendations: Within a few days of the analvsis. athletes receive actionable recommendations via email to help implement changes necessary to improve their swim. Video and pictures may also be included to help clients grasp critical concepts and visualize necessary changes.
